About the Role

As a Software Test Engineer at Leadsquared, you will be at the forefront of our product development lifecycle. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test plans and test cases that align with functional requirements, user stories, and technical specifications. In this role, you will thoroughly test software releases by executing test cases and identifying defects. You will document and track these defects utilizing our bug tracking system, such as Jira, and perform regression testing to ensure that resolved defects do not re-emerge and that new features do not introduce additional issues. Collaboration is key in this position; you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely feedback on software quality.

Additionally, you will actively participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. You will design, develop, and execute API tests using Postman to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of our backend services. Contributing to the automation of API tests will be essential to ensure continuous quality. Familiarity with database schemas and models will facilitate more effective testing. You will also build and enhance UI automation frameworks using Selenium or Playwright to ensure comprehensive test coverage, integrating automated tests into our CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing and faster feedback loops. Staying updated with the latest testing tools and methodologies will empower you to recommend improvements to our testing processes.
